Requirements For A Canadian Visa
If you are planning to visit or relocate to Canada, one of the most important things you will need is a visa. To get a Canadian visa, you need to have some documents and follow some processes to avoid delays and misinformation.
Here are the requirements for a Canadian visa:
Explanation of Your Trip’s Purpose
A detailed explanation of your destination, length of stay, Canadian contacts, and purpose of visit (In some cases, flight booking details may be required).
Passport Photograph
The passport photograph to be used should be a coloured photograph with a frame size of at least 35mm x 45mm and should be taken against a plain white or light-coloured background.
International Passport
A status document from your home country. This is where your Visa is going to be stamped into
Letter of Invitation
If you are invited by a company, a Canadian citizen, or have been accepted into a university, you will need to provide a letter of invitation.
Your invitation letter should include:
- Purpose of Visit
- Duration of stay
- Your host/university’s contact address
Medical Examination
If you want to reside in Canada, whether permanently or temporarily, you will need to be in good health and present proof of good health in order for you to qualify for a visa.
Sufficient Finances
The immigration office will want to know that you will not be a burden to them or the system while in Canada, so you must demonstrate to the Canadian government that you will be able to take care of yourself.
